Water Filtration in Hurst, Installed With Care for Your Home

We test your water, then install the system that fits what we found: whole-house carbon filtration, under-sink reverse osmosis, iron and sediment filters, or a softener when the hardness numbers call for it. We serve Hurst, Bedford, Euless and nearby towns, and we treat your home like it matters.

What We Do for Your Water

It starts with water testing, so we know what is in your tap before anyone talks equipment. From there we install whole-house carbon filtration for chlorine taste and smell, under-sink reverse osmosis for drinking and cooking water, and iron and sediment filtration when grit or staining shows up. We put in water softeners only after a hardness test says your home needs one. Once a system is in, our filter replacement and maintenance keeps it doing its job.

  • Water testing

We test the water at your taps for hardness, chlorine, iron and lead, then tell you plainly what, if anything, is worth fixing.

  • Whole-house carbon filtration

A carbon system on your main water line that reduces chlorine taste and smell in showers, sinks and appliances, sized to your home's flow.

  • Iron and sediment filtration

We trace rust stains, grit and cloudy water to their source, then fit a filter sized for your home's flow and plumbing.

  • Under-sink reverse osmosis

A compact reverse osmosis system under your kitchen sink for drinking and cooking water, with its own faucet and filters you can change yourself.

  • Water softeners

We test your water hardness first, then size and install a softener only if the numbers say you need one.

  • Filter replacement

We change cartridges, membranes and media on the system you already have, check it for leaks and pressure loss, and tell you when the next change is due.

How We Work Inside Your Home

Filters are not complicated. The part people remember is how the crew acted in their house. So we pay attention to that.

Drop cloths and shoe covers, every time

We lay runners from the door to the work area and put a cloth under the spot where we cut into the line. Shoe covers go on at the door. If we carry a filter tank across your floor, it rides on a dolly, not dragged.

Care around beds and turf

Whole-house systems often go near the main line, which can sit by a flower bed or along the side of the house. We set tools on a tarp, not your mulch, and we put back any soil or plants we have to move.

You know when the water goes off

Before we shut the main, we tell whoever is home how long it will be off, usually an hour or two for a standard install. We tell you again when it is back on and run the taps to clear air from the lines.

Test results you can read

We walk you through the numbers in plain words and point out which ones are normal and which ones matter. If your water is fine for what you care about, we tell you that.

Written estimate before work

You get a line-item estimate that lists the equipment, the labor and any extra parts. If we find something unexpected once a cabinet or panel is open, we stop and talk to you first.

A Small Crew That Tests First

Water Filtration Hurst is a family-owned local outfit that does one thing: helps people get better water at home. Treated city water is safe to drink in most cases, so we do not sell on fear. What we hear about most is chlorine taste, white spots on fixtures, and worry about what older pipes might add on the way to the faucet.

Our job is to find out what is really going on and fix that, nothing extra. We would rather put in a small under-sink unit that solves your problem than a big system you do not need. And while we are in your home, we keep it clean and keep you informed. That approach has earned us 4.9 stars from 325 Google reviews.

What Changes the Cost

We can't give a fair number until we have seen your water and your pipes. These are the things that swing it most. Each one is spelled out on the written estimate, so nothing shows up later as a surprise.

We give you a written estimate after testing and a look at your plumbing. You decide with the full number in front of you, and there is no charge for the estimate. We also offer free installation and a lifetime warranty on the majority of parts.

What the test shows
Chlorine taste alone can be handled with carbon. Iron, sediment or high hardness may need a second stage or a different system. The test decides the scope.
Whole house or one tap
An under-sink reverse osmosis unit treats drinking water at the kitchen. A whole-house system treats every faucet and shower, which means larger tanks and more plumbing work.
Where the main line runs
An easy-to-reach line in the garage is quicker than one behind a finished wall or outside along the foundation. Tight access adds time.
Pipe type and condition
Copper, PEX and older galvanized pipe each take different fittings. Corroded or undersized pipe at the tie-in point sometimes needs replacing before a system goes on.
Drain and power needs
Softeners and some backwashing filters need a nearby drain and an outlet. If those are not close, we have to run them.

How a Job Runs

Most installs take one visit. Here is what that visit looks like from start to finish.

  1. 1

    Phone call

You tell us what bothers you about your water: taste, smell, spots on glasses, stains or just wanting to know. We set a time that works for your household.

  2. 2

    Testing and a look around

We test at the tap, check where the main line enters and look at the space for equipment. Then we go over the results with you at the kitchen table.

  3. 3

    Written estimate

You get the options in writing, including the choice to do nothing if the water is fine. No pressure to decide on the spot.

  4. 4

    Install day

Floors get covered, the water goes off at the time we agreed, and we install, flush and pressure-check the system. We show you the bypass valve and how to tell when a filter is due.

  5. 5

    Cleanup and follow-up

We haul away packaging and old parts, wipe down the area and pull up the cloths last. When filters come due, our filter replacement and maintenance visit keeps things running.

Questions We Hear Most

Something not covered here? (817) 383-8177

Why filter city water that already meets standards?

Water that meets the rules is safe for most people. A lot of homeowners filter because of taste and odor, usually from the chlorine used for disinfection. Others want added protection from what aging household plumbing can put in. Testing shows whether a filter would truly change anything in your home.

Is a water softener something I need?

It depends. Hardness varies, and many homes get along fine without one. We suggest a softener only when a hardness test comes back high enough to cause scale and spots. If your reading is low, we'll tell you not to bother.

Will a filter deal with lead from old plumbing?

Lead tends to come from old solder or fixtures in the home rather than from the supply. For drinking and cooking water, an under-sink reverse osmosis system rated to reduce lead fits well. We test first so you know if it's an issue at your faucet.

What fixes the chlorine taste?

Carbon does a good job on chlorine taste and odor. A whole-house carbon system covers every faucet and shower. If the taste only bugs you at the kitchen sink, an under-sink unit may do the job.

How long is the water off during an install?

Around one to two hours for most whole-house jobs. Under-sink units often only need the kitchen cold line closed. You'll hear the timing before we begin and the moment water is restored.

Will my house be left a mess?

No. Floors are covered from your door to the work spot, we wear shoe covers and our tools stay off your landscaping. At the end we clean up, carry off the packaging and leave the area as it was.

How often should filters be replaced?

It depends on your system and how much water passes through it. Carbon and sediment cartridges can last anywhere from a few months to nearly a year, and a reverse osmosis membrane lasts much longer. We give you a written schedule for your system, and our filter replacement and maintenance service can handle the changes for you.
